Nature Based Mindfulness with Ian Napper

Nature-based Mindfulness is a series of body-heart-mind practices to come home to the Earth. Slow down and deeply listen. Engage in simple yet profound practices to commune with Nature. Be with the birds and the wind. Sway with the grass. Breathe with the trees. Tap in to ancient ways of knowing, remembering our connection to all things. Open to awe and wonder. Do less, and just be.

Nature-based Mindfulness is a series of simple wellness practices, the effects of which compound for deep relaxation and stress relief. Participate at your level of comfort in evidence-based methods to promote nervous system regulation, reduce stress hormones, lower blood pressure, reduce anxiety, boo st immune function, boost pro-social behavior, and enjoy the beauty of Nature. Invest in your mental health and physical wellness; even just 10 minutes significantly improves overall wellbeing.

Nature-based Mindfulness is a series of easy integral wellness practices, the effects of which compound for deep relaxation and stress relief. Learn multiple simple yet effective practices to engage with the natural world, which promote curiosity and pro-social behavior in all ages. Foster connection and reduce loneliness, while promoting environmental education and respectful engagement.

You can expect light walking and some sitting on the ground. Groups will be guided with easy invitational practices for mindful movement, mindful breathing, centering, directed awareness, and other expe riential practices. Led by Ian Napper, M.Ed. Check the weather before and wear what you might want to be comfortable, rain or shine. Please arrive 5-10 min early to find the group, and bring your curiosity.

Location: Meet on the steps of the Giovale Library and Ian will guide you from there.
