Let’s Spill The Tea-Mixed Media Alice In Wonderland Theme Tea Box

WHAT: It’s always tea time when you have this beautiful wonderland themed tea box in your home! Let’s create a beautiful and unique mixed media solid wood tea box to hold and organize your tea bags, or any other items that you choose to store inside. As students, you will learn how to create a mixed media item that will look incredible in your home or even make a fabulous gift! We’ll start with a solid wood tea caddy that measures 14.7” x 7.8” x 5.7” with 8 compartments plus a drawer for organized storage. This is a comprehensive course for basic mixed media where attendees will learn a full range of techniques, with hands-on instruction. Techniques will include composition of various elements, including some created by you using resin as well as ready-made embellishments. We’ll then unify everything using gesso, metallic wax and water-based varnish. She finds joy in the process and has found it to be calming and therapeutic. Once you learn the basics of the mixed media process the possibilities are endless and she is frequently heard saying she has way more ideas than time. Some of her favorite materials include; resin, heavy gel medium, gesso, metallic waxes, paint, metal, chipboard and just about any interesting object she can find.
