Definitely a reggae band, yes. โ Guitarist Stephen โ Cat โ Coore, OD said of their music: โ The hybrid of various types of music is a natural thing because, by growing up in Jamaica, we know the direct roots of reggae and ska. At the same time, we live in a country where you get to hear Chuck Berry, Fats Domino and all the R&B artists. โ Bassist Richard Daley said, โ We took roots reggae music and put branches on top of it. โ Third World in 2026 brings together an exceptional collection of musicians: foundation member and honorary bassist Richard Daley , who has been part of the band โ s DNA since 1973; Tony โ Ruptio n โ Williams , the heartbeat of Third World for the past 29 years, driving the band with his masterful command of the drums & djembe ; keyboardists and vocalists Norris โ Noriega โ Webb and Maurice Gregory , adding rich layers of harmony; the commanding lead voc als of AJ Brown ; the groove - anchoring bass of Richie Barr ; and guitarist Richard โ Wiggz โ Walters , honoring the legacy of the legendary Stephen โ Cat โ Coore .
