"Poetry is for Everyone" Community Writing Workshop

Mark Smeltzer, in partnership with the USU Community Writing Center, welcomes anyone who would like to learn the basics of writing poetry. This hour-long class is designed to promote poetry as a unique, lifelong practice for all to enjoy. Together we will: - Answer some of the most common questions about poetry. - Address common barriers and assumptions about poetry that often turn people away. - Engage in guided writing exercises to generate ideas and find inspiration. - Share resources to continue enjoying reading and writing poetry at home.
