Ure Ranch Wetland Restoration

Join Summit County's Lands & Natural Resources Department at the Ure Ranch for our first-ever volunteer event on the property!

We will be supporting a 3.5-acre restoration project through native vegetation planting and re-seeding. As the wetland matures, it will better retain water, rebuild its natural and unique peat soils, and support a healthier, more diverse habitat for native plants and wildlife.

We recommend wearing long pants, long sleeves, and sturdy closed-toe shoes or muck boots, as we will be working in and around wetlands. Please bring sun protection (hat, sunglasses, sunscreen), water and snacks, and layers in case of changing weather. Please leave dogs at home.

Lunch will be generously provided by the High Country Fly Fishers Trout Unlimited Chapter, so registration is required.
