Working with the Energy of Anger
Anger is one of our most powerful emotions—and one we often handle poorly. Most of us either suppress our anger or get swept away by it. But what if anger could become a source of clarity, energy, and deeper connection? What happens when we stop fighting our anger and start working with it?
In this talk, Diane Musho Hamilton will explore the neurobiology of anger and share practical techniques for transforming emotional reactivity into clarity. She will highlight the skills needed to interrupt the mind-body feedback loop that keeps us stuck in reactive patterns and to transform our relationship with anger and intensity.
Diane will explore anger as information and energy, how the nervous system responds to perceived threats, and practical tools for staying grounded. She will also discuss how to remain present when others are activated, embody healthy boundaries, and move from reactivity to response.
Diane is the author of Everything Is Workable: A Zen Approach to Conflict Resolution and The Zen of You and Me: A Guide to Getting Along with Just About Anyone, as well as the forthcoming Compassionate Conversations.
This will be a meaningful evening you won’t want to miss!
