Ratha Yatra 2026 – Chariot Festival

The Utah Odia Community is delighted to organize Ratha Yatra 2026 at BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Hindu Mandir in Kearns, Utah on Saturday, July 18th, starting at 10:30 AM. This grand festival will include: Arrival of Lord Jagannath at the temple, Sacred ceremonies to seat Lord Jagannath, Sister Subhadra, and Brother Balaram on the chariot, Pulling of the chariot around the temple with devotees, Cultural performances inside and outside the temple, Authentic Odia cuisine for all attendees, Evening prayers for divine blessings. About Ratha Yatra: Ratha Yatra is a deeply spiritual and joyous festival celebrated with immense devotion across the world. Originating from Puri, Odisha (India), this festival marks the annual journey of Lord Jagannath, along with His siblings Balabhadra and Subhadra, in grand wooden chariots along Bada Danda (the Grand Avenue) to Gundicha Temple. After residing there for a week, the deities return to the Jagannath Temple in a similar procession. Come and be a part of this globally celebrated spiritual event with the Utah Odia Community.
