New Years Exhibition: Samantha daSilva + Havoc Hendricks

Samantha daSilva and Havoc Hendricks open the gallery's new year with two very different meditations on beginning again, join us January 15th to see where 2027 starts. There's something fitting about pairing these two artists to open the year. Samantha daSilva builds her surfaces in layers, plaster, texture, and pigment worked and reworked until the canvas feels less painted than excavated, like something being slowly uncovered. Havoc Hendricks works in the opposite direction, stripping his compositions down to patient, deliberate line, each mark laid with the kind of restraint that makes a blank space feel intentional rather than empty. Shown together, their work becomes a conversation about process itself, what it means to build something up, and what it means to pare something down.
