A picnic performance of When We Were Boats , a new play about the 1955 Grand Canyon swim of Bill Beer and John Daggett, opens the show's run as part of the Red Rock Arts Festival. Written and directed by Sam Van Wetter. Doors open at 2:30 p.m. and the performance and picnic run from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Tickets are $10 and include a seat and themed snacks from Confluence Cuisine. Ticket sales close at 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 26.
